A Word from our Pastor

I consider it a privilege and an honor to be the new lead pastor
serving the wonderful people here at Hillview Baptist Church. I
know God is going to continue to build a great church here using
us as His instruments. I look forward, with anticipation, to what
He will accomplish as we minister together following His
guidance, His direction, and using the wisdom and power He
gives us in His Holy Spirit.
If you are new in town and are looking for a great place to
serve and a church family to be a part of, we invite you to come and see the awesome
things God is doing here at Hillview. If you are looking for a place
to come and worship Almighty God, we invite you to come and
worship with us.
What a privilege it is to be a part of the family of Almighty God.
What a privilege it is to be a part of the family at Hillview Baptist!

Evangelism and Missions

At the heart of our mission is the compelling urgency to proclaim the Gospel to everyone. The Baptist Faith and Message summarizes the biblical expectation this way:

“It is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and of every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to endeavor to make disciples of all nations. The new birth of man’s spirit by God’s Holy Spirit means the birth of love for others. Missionary effort on the part of all rests thus upon a spiritual necessity of the regenerate life, and is expressly and repeatedly commanded in the teachings of Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ has commanded the preaching of the Gospel to all nations. It is the duty of every child of God to seek constantly to win the lost to Christ by verbal witness undergirded by a Christian lifestyle, and by other methods in harmony with the Gospel of Christ.”

Scripture:

And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there
He put the man He had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God
made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good
for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree
of knowledge of good and evil.
                                                                                            Genesis 2:8-9
The earth was designed by God to give us food, water and air to
breathe………all our necessities. He created us to hear, taste, feel
and smell. In gratitude, let us worship God!
